Ivan is a priest with a very strong faith in God and man. However, his unshakeable conviction will be tested by the arrival of Adamo, a neo-fascist assigned to his rehabilitation community. The preparation of an apple strüdel will become an occasion for a tense tug-of-war between a positive and a negative view of the world, all accompanied by the hallucinated gaze of the other members of the community: the alcoholic skier Gustav, the problematic Sara and the ex-terrorist Khalid. A bittersweet comedy, reflecting on the all-too-human need to always hold on to hope.
